The Story So Far

The Beginning

2003

In March 2003, James Livingstone took on a sub-contract for render from a local Sunshine Coast based renderer at the time. He quickly built a team of 4 men and for the following 3 years he became the lead contracting team for that company.

Business Launch

2007

In 2007, James took a leap of faith and stepped out to form his own company, “Livingstone Plasterers.” The team found success in high end render work or architecturally designed homes as well as the local project housing market. Additionally, we completed projects in affordable housing through the Rudd Government’s Building Incentive Programs.

Scaling the Business

2009

By the end of 2009, we were adding multi-residential projects into the portfolio which naturally caused the team to expand in size, skill and for systems to be refined and simplified. A strategic partnership with a local lightweight cladding installation company where they facilitated the install and we completed the render component saw our company flourish and grow steadily, seeing us complete 66,000m2 of render in the 16/17 financial year.

Rebranding

2012

In 2012, the name of the business changed to what it is now, Livingstone Render & Paint, to better reflect that we were also able to complete render and paint packages.

Service Expansion

2017

From 2017 we decided to add the installation of lightweight claddings into our capacity, as well as render to small and medium sized commercial projects.

Strategic Refocus

2021

In 2021, we made a strategic move to focus on the application of render only and on the Sunshine Coast. At the time we knew it was best to do what we knew to do, do it well and do it where we can manage it really well. It helped us move even more into the commercial market on the Sunshine Coast as well as servicing many local project home builders.

When driving around the Coast today, you’re likely to pass by several notable projects we’ve rendered, such as: The Cosmopolitan in Maroochydore, Meridan’s Integrated Community Project; and, more recently, the Baringa State School, Reflection Cove in Maroochydore, Beachside Apartments in Kings Beach and The Curl in Bokarina.

Today, our main focus is to provide a quality and reliable rendering solution for commercial and project builders, as well as local renovations.

The company is healthy and growing; our team is experienced, motivated and expanding. We have capacity for your project.
